If the duration of the foreign student’s education is less than one year, the duration of the student residence permit cannot exceed the duration of the study period.

Foreigners who can apply for a Student Residence Permit

Foreigners who are going to study at primary and secondary school without a family residence permit (foreigners who are going to study at the primary and secondary level with a family residence permit can continue their education until they are 18 years old. Once they are 18 years old and still in secondary school students are required to apply for a student residence permit)

In Turkey, a student residence permit can be issued for foreigners who will study in the fields of associate degree, bachelor, master, doctorate, medical specialty education (TUS), specialty training in dentistry (DUS).
